Even Editors Need Editors

What? No Way. Why?

Yes. Editors need Editors. When you attempt to edit your own work, you read the words you have written and you are likely to read what you think you wrote, not only what is actually on the page. When you have an editor review your work, they don't know what you were thinking when you were writing. They only have the words that are on the page.

Our brain's ability to read words that are not there or believe the word is spelled correctly has nothing to do with a person's experience, education level, etc. It is potentially due to a multiple of reasons; one being typoglycemia. Typoglycemia is what allows you to easily read passages like the one in the picture below. If the first and last letter are correct, our brain is able to unjumble the rest of the letters and read the entire word.

If you are able to read the picture with ease, you need an Editor. I can read it easily and I have an Editor.
